Advantages and disadvantages of radiant energy

Radiant energy is the energy that is transferred by electromagnetic radiation such as light, X-ray, gamma rays, and thermal radiation, which may be described in terms of either discrete packets of energy called photons or continuous electromagnetic waves. So here this article gives the information about the advantages and disadvantages of radiant energy to better understand this topic.

Advantages of radiant energy:

  • Generates little carbon dioxide.
  • Generates electricity in large quantities.
  • The cost for fuel, operation, and maintenance are low.
  • Have no chain reaction, easy to control and cease.
  • It creates all light around us to allow us to see the light. We can listen to music for radio waves.
  • It involves the sun glows which allows us to live healthily and not freeze to death.
  • X-ray allow examining broken bones and many other things

Disadvantages of radiant energy:

  • Generates a lot of no disposable waste.
  • It is very expensive to build power plants.
  • COuld produce a massive amount of negative energy instead of being productive.
  • The sun being part of radiant energy can give you skin cancer and blinded again.
  • Too much exposure to certain types of radiant energy can be harmful to your body.
